DO YOUR RESEARCH.
Before you do anything, look online for reviews and complaints. Search Google, Better Business Bureau and various social media pages of the contractor.
CHECK YOUR REFERENCES.
Ask for references from insurance agents and previous customers. Items to consider when discussing contractors include quality of work, courtesy and professionalism, cleanliness, warranty coverage, and payment process. Also ask if the work led to lower electric bills and how long they've been in business. The more you know, the more comfortable you'll be.
ASK ABOUT MATERIALS & PROCESS.
Look for a contractor focused on using quality shingles and vents so your house will stay cooler and help reduce your electric bill. A good way to figure this out is by asking the contractor if they plan to add extra vents, as this will make a difference in the way your home feels.
INSTALLATION WARRANTY
Learn what is covered and if something is wrong with the roof, how to go about a repair. Ask how the interior is covered if there is a problem. You want piece of mind when you're investing in your property.
PAYMENT
